Macarena Andrea Yañéz Rojas, also known by her stage name Macay, Between 2001 and 2006 she studied a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Plastic Arts at the University of Chile, and in 2008 and 2009 she completed the Master of Arts in London at the Central Saint Martins University of the Arts. His work, mainly street murals and large-scale interventions, has been exhibited in several cities around the world such as San Francisco, Taipei, London and Paris. Using the collage technique, the artist composes fantastic scenes, repeatedly juxtaposing images of retro-aesthetic characters with birds, flowers and other elements of flora and fauna. These compositions become part of the everyday urban landscape and seek to connect man with nature.
Macay resides and works in Santiago, Chile.
